I’ve never wanted to be a person who teaches, writes or speaks solely from theory. I gather, analyze, and interpret data then practice what I learn until I get it right. I have a saying I use, “It is the application of our education that makes the biggest difference in our lives.” I don’t just say it, I live it. I’m not afraid to try, and although I don’t like it, I’m not afraid to fail. The reason is nothing gives me more joy than helping others succeed. And often it’s through failure that I reach success, and then I pass the formula to others.

I’ve dedicated my life to serving others, specifically in the areas of character, leadership and success. I have taken massive action towards becoming a person of unshakable character, of great leadership, and of ongoing success so I can show others the way.

I have personally practiced the philosophies, principles, and practices outlined in this manual. I have become very good at some of them. Others are a work in progress, and still others I have a long way to go. I don’t pretend to be perfect. I, like many other leaders, am fighting hard every day to become the best for my team.

Why do I tell you this?

I want you to know that the principles in this manual, not the author, are unshakable. Being an excellent leader and building a dynamic organizational culture is not easy. It takes constant vigilance, effort, and grace. You will witness progress overnight in some areas and others will feel like an eternity. What is most important is to make progress, that you never quit, and you serve the people in your organization with a full heart.

Yours in growth,

Michael B. Ross, Author
