Speaker and author Michael B. Ross is presenting “Building a Legacy Business” to the Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization (CEO) of West Virginia University (WVU) on Wednesday, January 31.
Ross is the founder and president of HBK High Performance, a leadership training and character development company located in East Liverpool, Ohio, whose mission is to “help people lead fulfilled and impactful lives.” Ross speaks on topics related to character, leadership, creating and pursuing a vision, overcoming obstacles and more.
Ross connected with the WVU chapter of CEO through its president, Alex Fisher, whom he met at the national CEO conference in Florida.
“He invited me to watch him speak about growing through adversity. Another member and I attended the speech and were inspired by Michael,” Fisher said. He hopes the members of his chapter will also be inspired with Ross’s insights.
“A big problem with young entrepreneurs is a lack of direction. I believe Michael can give a different perspective and can guide us down the right path,” Fisher said.
Once a young entrepreneur himself, Ross hopes to transfer some of the wisdom he’s gleaned on his path to success in order to minimize struggles common in entrepreneurship.
“I’m hoping this information helps these young business owners take a shorter path from adversity to success,” Ross said. “I’m excited for these leaders to take this information and build infrastructure within their business.”
